First time in the history, England and New Zealand faced each other in the World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s on Sunday. The stakes were high as both the Teams England and New Zealand had a chance to become first-time winners but it was decided by the number of boundaries hit in a thriller and England emerged World Cup 2019 champions.

Ben Stokes: England’s hero
“I’m pretty lost for words. All the hard work over four years, to get here and be champions of the world. It’s an amazing feeling. I’m pretty done,” said Stokes
“This is where we aspired to be and to manage to come here and do it in such a good game. I don’t think there will ever be a better game of cricket in history than that,” Stokes added further.
Here are a few Twitter Reactions:
A game that ebbed and flowed from the 1st ball to the 612th!
Feel for New Zealand who did everything that England did and still fell short.
Congratulations to England.#CWC19 #NZvENG @ECB_cricket @BLACKCAPS pic.twitter.com/FlEJb0NfId

What a spectacle this World cup final has been, not one person has left the ground. A big shout out to Trevor Bayliss (Eng Coach), he now has an incredible coaching profile, 2011 final with Sri Lanka, champions twice with KKR and a big bash title with the Sydney Sixers.

Congratulations to England!
Commiserations New Zealand.
I’ve got to say that it’s a horrible way to decide the winner. This rule has to change.

Congratulations to England on winning the Cricket World Cup. New Zealand were outstanding and never gave up, that deflection over-throw of Stokes being a huge turning point, tragic for @BLACKCAPS , so near yet so far but they must be very proud. #CWCFinal19
